What is the "Memory Effect" on a Battery?
Memory Effect is the common term used to replace the more accurate term
"Voltage Depression". The memory effect is a condition that results from
not charging the battery properly and from living the battery with a fix
charge or no charge for very long periods. Basically on batteries that
have NiCad or NiMH Chemistry you need to discharge the battery
completely the first few times and after that every so often. The so
called memory Effect does not apply to Lithium Based battery.
