What is the correct or best way to charge a Lithium Ion Battery?
The Li-ion charger is a voltage-limiting device similar to the lead acid
battery charger. The difference lies in a higher voltage per cell, tighter
voltage tolerance and the absence of trickle or float charge when full
charge is reached. The best way to maximize the charge is to charge the
battery the first time for a period of about 12 Hrs. Then discharge the
battery completely and cycle this process 2-3 times. Keep in mind that too
keep your battery in good health you need to follow this procedure about
once a month. |
